We maintain and distribute an open-source development environment that gathers databases, libraries, codes, documentation and textbooks dealing with the statistical-modeling of complex systems. Up to now, EDStar has mainly been used to predict and analyse heat transfer, complex flows, infrared/solar radiation and interacting biological-agents in engineering, astrophysical, environemental and medical research contexts.

Latest simulation example
EDSTar was recently used by Meso-Star (http://meso-star.com) to simulate the thermal behaviour of a block of buildings. The physical model takes into account
- Full 3D unstationnary conduction into solids.
- Natural convection and ventilation within each room, mixed convection along the enveloppe.
- Detailled angular description of infrared radiation within the room and between buildings
- Detailled angular description of solar radiation and its thermal impact on the enveloppe, within each room, including complete 3D shadowing and multiple reflection effects.
- Heating system within each room
In one single simulation, all geométrical and temporal scales are represented, from the centimeter scale
to the building scale,
and from minutes to lifetime integrated quantities.
